Degree Programs
GIRG offers two tracks: Rehabilitation Counseling and Gerontological Wellbeing. To graduate, students need to complete at least 32 credits, covering common core modules, core electives, and other electives. The Rehabilitation Counseling track bridges theory and practice. Students in this track have to complete mandatory courses and a 320-hour practicum to be equipped with practical experience and competencies in the workplace. The Gerontological Wellbeing track aims to nurture professionals that support the needs of an aging population. Courses in this track include “Physiological, Psychological, and Social Characteristics of the Elderly”, “Daily and Medical Needs of the Elderly”, “Gerontological Wellbeing”, etc.
